Located off the beaten track, along Galu Beach underneath the shade of African Fig and Indian Almond trees lies a gem of a plot. The project brief was to develop a 4-bedroom family holiday home with a swimming pool and 2-bedroom guest cottage. The plot itself is dotted with beautiful mature trees and spills out onto the beach. Careful not to interfere with the trees, the cottage is nestled on the lower half of the plot closest to the beach. The main house is elevated on a natural coral ridge looking over the cottage with views towards the ocean. The house was designed with a courtyard as its centre point off which all rooms gravitate. High floor to ceiling heights make for an impressive experience entering the house, with arch-framed views of the infinity pool, garden and ocean beyond.
Once completed, the house will run 100% off grid using a hybrid wind and solar solution. Construction commenced in August 2023 and is expected to be completed this year.
